Well, I looked at all the new pictures and they are gorgeous! Every color combination is so beautiful and each one of us is so different but all of them work out so well. I finishe part four of mine and here is the photo that shows the progress of the project. Two more sections and it will be finished. Along with this section Judith issued a challenge: to design a bracelet based in this section, so now I am off to see if I can rise up to it. This has been so much fun and such a learning experience. I have enjoyed it a lot.

Urban Stripes Project
Hello, created this some time ago but really did not have the time nor the inclination to start writing until now.
I have been traveling back and forth from Culiacán, Sinaloa, México to Phoenix, Arizona, which is where my daughter and her family live.
Lately I have been working on a bead rope project called Urban Stripes. Judith Bertoglio-Giffin,http://beadline.blogspot.com/2011/07/urban-stripes-crocheted-rope.html the accomplished beader, designer and writer of bead crocheting books is directing it and we participants are having lots of fun doing it. This is my first exchange with so many beaders at the same time and I find it exhilarating, there is so much talent in one place and I am learning a lot, because everyone has been very generous with sharing knowledge, tips and most of all, encouragement. It is a wonderful group.
The project consists of a 42"rope to be crocheted in six sections, of which I have completed three and are in the process of finishing the fourth. I had planned to start sharing it from the first but you know, life happens when you are making other plans and I have been too busy checking out everybody else's ropes, gaping and marveling at the amazing creativity in putting together combination after combination of colors that look absolutely stunning.
So I will go take another peek at the most recent postings and finish mi fourth section so that I can post the picture here. See you soon!
